Although the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) is most known for it’s Go-Go culture; its scene in the hip-hop culture is definitely on the up and up. The DMV is home for quite a few of Hip-Hop’s best artists: Wale, Fat Trel, and Shy Glizzy. The metro area also happens to be the home of rising artist, Lambo Anlo. The 24 year old rapper was raised right on the outskirts of D.C. in Capitol Heights, Maryland.
Lambo Anlo has been on the rise for quite a while now, but most recently the artist released the video for his track, “On My Way“. “On My Way” opens in a small restaurant where Lambo and two co-workers are avoiding working at all costs: the three friends do this in efforts to make it to the big neighborhood cookout. Throughout the video, Lambo’s friends and family continuously text him, asking him where he is. Then, when Lambo finally shows up everyone welcomes him with excitement.
Not only does the “On My Way” video give a great visual, but it also forces listeners to learn the words by its catchiness. “On My Way” rubs off fans in such a way that they will be rapping or humming the chorus every time that they head out.
