Desiigner has made it a point to break out of the underground music scene any chance he gets, as well as to become way more than a one hit wonder! While the chart topping single “Panda” did seem as an over night success, the G.O.O.D. rapper has also topped the charts with tracks like “Timmy Turner,” and even “Holy Ghost.”
…all while still being without a debut album. However, the pressure is on: critics have been buzzing about whether or not Desiigner will be able to live up to expectations with the upcoming release Life Of Desiigner, calling it his “make-or-break moment.” Late last night, he decided to drop the new single “Malibu” in an effort to get momentum going.
The adlib-heavy track is produced by CashmoneyAP & 16YrsOld, and is certainly a good follow-up to his track “Arms” — also produced by 16YrsOld — which he released a couple of days ago.
It’s unclear whether or not it is a solid candidate for the album, but you can check out both singles below and let us know what you think (we also included the artwork for the forthcoming debut).
