Take some of the finest trap rappers in existence, put them together on one song and you get “WWTW.” On the new track by Yung Gleesh, the rapper gets help from stars Playboi Carti and Lil Yachty.
The collaboration makes for a beautified trap soundscape complete with ad-libs, wavy drums and faint claps. The beat, produced by Yung Pvps, shines the brightest on the song but not without the assistance of the masterful trap trio.
Gleesh surfs into the song with perfection, proclaiming he’s “working with the work” throughout the song’s hook. Carti then begins to drill his signature “ayys” and “whats” into the song’s rosy beat, rapping about the various women and other pleasantries in his life.
In addition to Carti, Yachty takes the reigns of the beat by the middle of the song, melodically riding the track and flexing about his come-up in the rap game. It’s a lengthy track but one that certainly commands attention through an ocean of natural-esque trap noise.
