Lame, this article has no real vision besides a 2 dimensional surface level interpretation of the art work. The statement here aligns with the messages conveyed in the yeezus album. Not that hard Respect mag.

Well I’m “Native American” (Aboriginal from Canada) and I think the t shirt with the skeleton in the head dress can be taken another way. The image itself can be seen as racist but when u add the words “God Wants You” to it, imagery of colonialism and religious brainwashing manifests. The idea that God Wants You (them/us) is what was behind colonialism and colonialism did in fact kill thousands of “Native Americans” in North America. It also symbolizes the fact that the original spirituality of a lot or Native Americans is dead becuz they have converted to Christianity, turning away from their traditional belief systems.
