Recently looking through my back pages which include an interview with HAZE from back in '89. I was hoping it would print in PAPER (NYC) but life got in the way. Never finished it. & just this past week loooking thru folders I found the notes on HAZE and a specific quote stood out. HAZE had to make one thing clear: "On the outside I'm Batman, but on the inside I'm Boy Wonder." (Being a mom to sons) I love that.
HAZE had /has so many earthy things to say about the architecture/foundation of Graffiti and what it meant to him. The context is all about his experience sans referring to the stars he was surrounded by.. We're out of touch, but hearing about the G-Shock thing is great news, good for him. HAZE ain't static. Baltomore's a rare East Coast City with a creative nabe that's not $$$. Lucky I got the rare chance to hear his voice in person & meet Batman letting go his guard or one layer of it. "Boy Wonder" is completely accurate./ sf-h
