Introducing GIF Street Art

Tired of boring old street art? It’s 2013, so why not incorporate some technology into your graffiti? That’s exactly what artist INSA has done.

The artist has crafted a way to make graffiti a GIF (GIF-iti as he puts it). The image above is merely one stage of a multi-stage process that allows you to view his work as a moving image online. Below is the final product:

INSA paints layer after layer, photographing each step, before finally uploading the continuous string in GIF form. Each step takes about one day to complete. Take a look at a few more down below, including a project for XL Recordings’ Atoms for Peace’s album cover.
