Whoa. Now, this is great use of words. Honors English‘s debut album, State of the Art comes out today (Feb. 22). His close association with producers Bink! and Needlz is surely to certify this album as well-done. This video along with “Cymbals on the Sidewalk” have sold me on this dude’s ability to make quality music.
The Taylor Gang crew is building a decent buzz in 2012 now. Chevy Woods drops a new song, featuring crew leader Wiz Khalifa on the hook, in hopes of keeping the movement strong. Take a listen below! “It’s loyalty! When will you n*ggas learn?’
Remember when Yasiin dropped this “N-Words in Paris”” remake back in mid-January? Well now there are visuals to accompany it. It’s mostly political footage, Bey with his fresh red old-school microphone and a great Malcolm X quote. Malcolm was assasinated 47 years ago yesterday (Feb. 21, 1965), so the timing fits well. It’s not often we [...]

This is actually the lead single off of Crooked I’s Pslam 86:2, which is scheduled to drop next month, but when these four emcees get together to destroy a track, it belongs to Slaughterhouse. The eerie piano heavy beat is brought to you by Boi-1da.
As far as innovative sounds go, I feel like B.J., Frank Ocean and the Weeknd have contributed the illest R&B/neo-soul sounds in the past year. This track comes off of B.J.’s Pineapple Now-Laters scheduled to drop at midnight! If you love the song below, then more than likely you’ll like “His Pain” with Kendrick Lamar, [...]
Producer Dot Da Genius just let this track he recorded with Kid Cudi back in 2008 go via his Twitter. This song sent me back down memory lane, when Cudder wasn’t doing cocaine or playing rock music, but actually rapping and killing his hooks instead. It’s what made me fall in love with his debut [...]
