The Utah Jazz have had the most improbable season under the coaching of Quin Snyder, defensive talents of Rudy Gobert and leadership of star rookie guard Donovan Mitchell.
In January, Mitchell, the Jazz’s 13th pick in last year’s NBA Draft, surpassed Utah Jazz legend, Karl Malone for most 20+ points games during a rookie season when he had his 19th 20+ point game.
Video game, NBA 2K is paying attention!
According to NBA 2K’s digital marketing director, Ronnie Singh, better known to 2K fanatics, as Ronnie2K tells Scoop B Radio that Mitchell is one of a few players whose in-game ratings have gone up drastically because of strong play.
“There’s been a lot of guys that have had significant bumps,” Ronnie2K told Scoop B Radio’s Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson.
Averaging 20 points and a shade under 4 rebounds and 4 assists, Donovan Mitchell has been a monster.
The NBA’s reigning Slam Dunk Champion, Mitchell is literally a human pinball machine in his rookie year. He began with the season with a 73 rating and has boosted all the way to an 83 rating.
“I mean it’s been a great year in the NBA,” said Ronnie2K.
A 13th pick in last year’s NBA Draft, Mitchell is doing it big…even surpassing Utah Jazz legend, Karl Malone in January for most 20+ points games during a rookie season when he had his 19th 20+ point game.
Worth noting, the Indiana Pacers’ Victor Oladipo and the Houston Rockets Clint Capela also got major rating boosts. “Those guys have had great seasons,” Ronnie2K said.“So it’s important for us to stay dynamic and reward the best players so those 3 have come up.”
