With 6 days left of the 2017-2018 NBA regular season, competition has been heating up. The Eastern Conference already have their 8 teams together as they play it out to finalized their playoff seedings. Meanwhile, the Western Conference is a mess as teams who are in 4-9th place are just a game apart from one another. As teams are battling it out and leaving it all on the floor, the league wants to bring more spice to the late season drama by planning to release a campaign known as “Streets”.
“Street” creates anticipation for great playoff basketball by first showing a desolate city street and then cutting to action-packed NBA highlights, alternating between shots of empty city roads and exciting on-court action. The voiceover opens with, “It’s the NBA Playoffs, and many cities are anxiously awaiting to see which one gets to celebrate,” and the spot concludes with footage of some of the great championship parades; the ultimate payoff for winning an NBA championship.
