Rick Ross’ Marketing Strategies for New Album are Top Notch

Hip hop artist and Music mogul Rick Ross must have a pretty extensive publicity team, who never fails to come up with catchy ways to gain traction for his newest projects. With that being said, the promotion for this month’s venture is an album called Rather You Than Me, set to release March 17, displays this same creativity and skillful advertising. Though the cover art for the album is pretty typical, the promotion is anything but that. Ross decided to ask one of his newest friends, Martha Stewart, to promote the album the best way she knows how: through cooking. Martha baked a cake with the album’s cover art straight across the top. In a photo released on Instagram the cooking connoisseur is holding the cake with an image of the rapper displayed in the background

We couldn’t see a better way to promote an album. The two have reportedly become rather close over the last few months since his appearance on her new cooking show Martha and Snoop, with rapper Snoop Dogg. Since then, each have made an effort to lend a hand on each others projects. As many Ross fans know, Rather You Than Me is Ross’ ninth album. The album reportedly includes features from some of hip-hop’s elite, such as Gucci Mane, Future, Young Thug, Meek Mill, and many more. Ross even ties in a short comedy skit from Chris Rock, displaying once again his knack for originality. The Miami boss has been seen heavily promoting this project, even going as far as wearing a sweatshirt with the title of the project on it at the American Music Awards. With that in mind, we should expect nothing but hits the day the album is released. Look out for the album and be sure to tell us what you think.
