Ever since the bonafide hit single “White Iverson” was released, Post Malone has been working to re-create magic with a slew of (very dope) releases, most notably “Too Young“, “Go Flex” and the Justin Bieber-assisted “Deja Vu” — all of which appear on Malone’s big debut album Stoney. Now, he goes for the gold again with a new single from the project titled “Congratulations”, which features Atlanta star and Migos member Quavo.
“Congratulations” also comes accompanied with a fun new visual, which sees the two collaborators and friends in full-on celebration mode, complete with confetti, TV-smashing and beer bong action (not to mention, lots of money). In addition, the clip makes use of some in-studio footage that sees cameos from Metro Boomin, Frank Dukes and Louis Bell, who crafted the song’s airy production. On the hook, Malone sings about how his family and peers had a somewhat different perspective on his career choice prior to the fame and success, which came thanks to his hard work and dedication to the music:
My momma called, seen you on TV, son
Said s*** done changed ever since we was on
I dreamed it all ever since I was young
They said I wouldn’t be nothing
Now they always say congratulations
Worked so hard, forgot how to vacation
They ain’t never had the dedication
People hatin’, say we changed and look, we made it
Yeah, we made it
